Josh Hutcherson has recently joined the cast of Rachel Sennott’s upcoming HBO comedy series, according to a report from Variety. Hutcherson will be taking over one of the lead roles in the series, replacing Miles Robbins who originally played the role in the pilot. The decision to recast the role came after the pilot was shot and the show was greenlit. Alongside Sennott and Hutcherson, the series also stars Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, and True Whitaker, with guest appearances from Leighton Meester and Quenlin Blackwell.
Hutcherson, known for his role in “The Hunger Games” films, will also be reprising his role in the upcoming sequel to “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” His impressive filmography includes roles in “The Disaster Artist,” “The Kids Are All Right,” and “Zathura.” Additionally, Hutcherson has previously starred in the Hulu series “Future Man,” which ran for three seasons. He is represented by Gersh, TFC Management, and Hansen Jacobson.
Sennott’s series was picked up by HBO in September and follows a codependent friend group as they reunite and navigate the changes that time apart, ambition, and new relationships have brought into their lives. Sennott serves as both the writer and executive producer of the series, with Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, and Lorene Scafaria also serving as executive producers. Scafaria directed the pilot episode of the series.
The news of Hutcherson’s casting was first reported by Deadline, and fans are eagerly anticipating the series’ debut on HBO. With a talented cast and creative team behind the scenes, this comedy series is sure to be a hit with audiences. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
