President Trump’s federal crime initiative has officially launched in Nashville, Tennessee, in collaboration with Governor Bill Lee. Early progress is already apparent in one of the nation’s urban centers plagued by high crime rates, particularly those governed by Democrats.
This initiative follows Trump’s signing of a Presidential Memorandum, which established the “Memphis Safe Task Force.” This task force integrates 13 federal agencies alongside National Guard troops to combat crime effectively in Memphis.
“This is crucial due to the rampant crime not just in Memphis but in many of our cities,” stated Trump. “We are implementing solutions step by step, similar to the approach taken in D.C.”

As the operation kicked off, Attorney General Pamela Bondi revealed, â219 officers have been specially deputized and our Joint Operations Center is now operational,â in her announcement regarding the initiative.
By Monday evening, authorities reported the capture of nine suspects and the confiscation of two illegal firearms, marking a robust beginning to the operations.
Our operation in Memphis has commenced, and we are merely scratching the surface.
Yesterday, we made nine arrests and secured two illegal firearms from the streets.
Additionally, 219 officers have been appointed with special deputization, and our Joint Operations Center is ready to deploy. Thank you to our partners…

By Wednesday morning, however, the operationâs statistics had dramatically increasedâthere were a total of 53 arrests made and 20 illegal firearms recovered. Bondi also noted the successful recovery of a missing juvenile and the discovery of three guns in a suspected murderer’s residence.
In just 48 hours, the Memphis Safe Task Force has made an impressive 53 arrests and seized 20 illegal weapons.
Moreover, we located a previously missing juvenile and confiscated three firearms discovered at a murder suspectâs home.
At @POTUS‘s directive, we are committed to making America safe once again!
