All she needs is a Kall-mala.

Former President Joe Biden sent his ex-vice president’s call straight to voicemail after she reached out upon hearing the news of his radiation therapy, as Kamala Harris disclosed.

“I called him earlier,” Harris stated during an interview with MSNBC’s “The Weekend” that aired Sunday. “I haven’t had a chance to speak with him yet. I just left a message after hearing the news.”

During her time on MSNBC’s “The Weekend,” Kamala Harris mentioned that she reached out to former President Joe Biden regarding his radiation treatments, but the call went to voicemail. MSNBC

“I haven’t spoken to him. I just left him a message after I heard the news,” she reiterated.

Harris further commented: “I believe Joe Biden is a fighter, and that’s exactly what I conveyed to him.

“He is going to fight through this, and we are all here to lift him up in prayer for his recovery, for his strength, and for his family,” she said.

Last month, Harris published her memoir “107 Days,” which reflects on her notably short 2024 presidential campaign and her candid views on Biden. At one point, she criticized his decision to seek reelection as “irresponsibility.”

She also recounted a moment when he had confronted her right before her debate against President Trump, accusing her of speaking poorly about him in front of donors.

Harris told MSNBC she has discussed her memoir with Biden, though she didn’t reveal their conversation’s details.

“I am not going to share that,” she said with a smile when prompted.

Biden’s office announced on Saturday that he would undergo five weeks of radiation therapy, which follows his prior regimen of hormone medication. His team affirmed that the 46th president is “doing well.”

In May, Biden revealed that he was diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.

In August, he had skin cancer removed from his forehead and was publicly seen with a sizable bandage.

Since leaving the White House, Biden has maintained a low profile and has been largely silent on the Democratic reflections of the 2024 election cycle.

Harris did not hint at the current state of her relationship with Biden in the aftermath of her book.

Biden has also appeared to have disagreements with other prominent Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and others involved in the tumult that led to his withdrawal from the 2024 race.

The former vice president was careful not to criticize Biden during her brief campaign as the Democratic nominee but has since aligned with others in voicing concerns over his decision to pursue reelection.

While promoting her book, Harris has consistently made critiques of Trump’s presidency. During her interview with MSNBC, she seemed to acknowledge Trump’s role in brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas with reluctant praise.

“I don’t think we should withhold credit where it’s due,” she remarked. “I sincerely hope this [the agreement] becomes a reality, that the hostages are released, and that the residents of Gaza are no longer subjected to such harsh treatment, enabling aid to flow in.”

“I commend everyone involved in this process, especially the Qataris, the Egyptians, and the president,” she concluded.
