Katja Herbers, Alan Ruck, Eddie Marsan, Karl Glusman, and Jonathan Higginbotham are confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming FX drama pilot titled “Disinherited,” according to a report from Variety.
They will be joining previously announced leads Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen in this project, helmed by Peter Gould, which was initially announced in June. The synopsis indicates, “An unexpected inheritance thrusts a pair of scrappy sisters into a realm of generational wealth and long-hidden crimes.”
Gould will take on the roles of director and executive producer for the pilot, which he is also writing. Executive producers include Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue from T-Street. The studio backing the project is FX Productions.
This project marks a return to FX for Herbers, who was part of the acclaimed spy drama “The Americans.” She recently led the CBS/Paramount+ series “Evil,” which concluded its four-season run in 2024. Other notable credits for Herbers encompass roles in “Mrs. Davis” on Peacock as well as hit HBO series “Westworld,” “Divorce,” and “The Leftovers.”
Ruck is renowned for his portrayal of Connor Roy in HBO’s esteemed series “Succession,” earning him both Golden Globe and Emmy nominations during its successful four-season tenure. He is also famous for his roles in the sitcom “Spin City” and films like “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Speed,” “Twister,” and “Star Trek Generations.”
Marsan gained significant recognition for his role in Showtime’s popular series “Ray Donovan,” where he portrayed the elder brother of the title character. His recent projects include “King & Conquer,” “The Bombing of Pan Am 103,” “Heartstopper,” and “Supacell,” with film credits such as “Vera Drake,” “Happy-Go-Lucky,” and “The World’s End.”
Glusman is known for his role in Alex Garland’s limited series “Devs” on FX. He has made a name for himself in films like “Nocturnal Animals” and “Eenie Meanie,” and will soon share the screen with Glenn Powell in the upcoming “The Running Man.”
Higginbotham recently featured in Season 2 of “Survival of the Thickest” on Netflix and has appeared in series such as “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” “Shining Vale,” and “The Blacklist.” He also made his Broadway debut in Jeremy O. Harris’ acclaimed play “Slave Play” in the role of Phillip.
