Kaulig Racing is once again causing a stir in the NASCAR community as it prepares to introduce a new driver for its rotating No. 25 Ram entry. With a lineup that already boasts both seasoned veterans and promising young talents, the focus now shifts to who will take the wheel for the next Truck Series event in Texas this May.
The team plans to make its announcement before the Tennessee Army National Guard 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night (April 10, 7:30 pm ET). This move is part of Ramās broader Free Agent Driver Program, which sees Kaulig Racing feature a different driver for almost every race with the No. 25 RAM truck.
Thanks for the submission!
In the initial races, Kaulig has featured drivers like Tony Stewart, Ty Dillon, Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie, and now Carson Ferguson for Bristol. Following a short break in the Truck schedule, the next event will be the SpeedyCash.com 250, scheduled for May 1 (8:00 pm ET) at Texas Motor Speedway.
Speculation grew after Kaulig Racing teased on X, stating:
āAnother new face is primed to take the reigns of our No. 25 @RamTrucks at @TXMotorSpeedway. Who do you think it could be? š§ā
The teaser quickly sparked a flurry of fan responses, suggesting both realistic and imaginative options. One name that gained significant traction was:
āKasey Kahne,ā one fan wrote, mirroring a wider sentiment online.
Another fan added:
āKasey Kahne announcement on Kasey Kahne Friday, which happens to be Kasey Kahneās birthday.ā
Kasey Kahne is seen as a strong contender for the No. 25 seat. His historical connection to Dodge aligns well with Ramās branding efforts. Unlike many former full-time Cup drivers, Kahne enjoys a flexible racing schedule and faces no manufacturer conflicts. His recent 14th place finish at O’Reilly suggests he remains competitive.
Beyond Kahne, fans proposed a variety of other names.
ā@markmartin, this you? šā
āScott Riggs.ā
āIām gonna take a shot in the dark and say @pkligerman.ā
ā@DanicaPatrick anyone?ā added another, highlighting the breadth of speculation.
Suggestions even included personalities outside the traditional NASCAR scene, such as Cleetus McFarland, while Cars Tour driver Landon Huffman received multiple mentions. The wide array of responses highlights the effectiveness of Kaulig Racingās strategy, making the No. 25 RAM truck a focal point for weekly discussions.
Carson Ferguson āthrilledā to get No. 25 Kaulig Racing ride for Bristol
Carson Ferguson is set to be the next driver for the No. 25 Ram Truck at Kaulig Racing, marking his NASCAR Truck Series debut at Bristol. Known for his background in dirt racing, Ferguson earned this opportunity through the āRace for the Seatā competition, part of the Free Agent Driver Program. Despite finishing second, his performance was impressive enough to secure the ride.
Ferguson expressed his excitement and the importance of this chance:
āIām thrilled for the chance to make my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Bristol through the Ram Free Agent Program… Getting this shot to race with Kaulig Racing means a lot. Bristol is a tough, high-banked track and a heck of a place to make your pavement debut in NASCAR. I canāt wait to get behind the wheel of that No. 25 Ram and show what I can do.ā
For Bristol, Ferguson will join an established Kaulig Racing team, which also includes Brenden āButterbeanā Queen in the No. 12, Timothy āMiniā Tyrrell in the No. 14, Justin Haley in the No. 16, and Corey LaJoie, who is now full-time in the No. 10 following Daniel Dyeās earlier suspension.
