Kendra Duggar‘s parents are set to give their deposition as their son-in-law Joseph Duggar‘s legal proceedings persist.
According to exclusive court documents obtained by Us on Monday, July 20, Christina Caldwell and Paul Caldwell will visit the Florida state attorney’s office to provide a deposition to Joseph’s attorney. This deposition may be used “at trial, and/or for such other purposes as are allowed by law.”
Us has contacted Joseph’s attorney for a statement.
Joseph, 31, was apprehended in March following allegations of molesting a 9-year-old girl during a family vacation in 2020. He faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious conduct by a person 18 or older. He has since submitted a written plea of not guilty.
Kendra, who was also arrested on unrelated charges before being released on bond, remains aligned with Joseph and his family despite his ongoing legal issues.
“I don’t know if it’s fear or naivete, but Kendra has completely aligned with the Duggars and not her family,” a source exclusively shared with Us in April. “She is brainwashed.”
In May, another source claimed that Kendra was not in contact with her family and that the Caldwells had “left the home they were living in and all of their belongings are in storage.”
“It has been an extremely stressful time especially given the circumstances,” the source added.

A different source, however, informed Us that the Duggars have been “very good to the Caldwells” over the years, and while Joseph’s accusations are “horrid and should be properly adjudicated,” it does not render the Caldwells as “victims.”
The identity of Joseph’s alleged victim remains undisclosed, though a source told Us that the accuser is close to Kendra’s family.
“Christina and Paul Caldwell are not concealing the fact that Joseph’s victim is [close to the Caldwell family],” the insider shared with Us in April. “Christina has informed other members of their church, but she is unsure if she wants to discuss it publicly. That is her struggle, but she is not hiding it.”

Some fans may remember Christian influencer Amy Paul previously accusing the Duggars of retaliating against Kendra’s family after Joseph’s arrest.
Paul claimed that the Caldwells reported Joseph to the police over the child molestation allegations in March.
“I was appalled at the lack of Christian charity shown to this precious family [the Caldwells] in crisis,” Paul wrote via Instagram in April. “Not only did they face the difficult situation of reporting their son-in-law to the police because he wasn’t accountable himself, but he’s also evicting them from their house and giving them 30 days to leave!”
Neither Joseph nor Kendra, 27, have publicly commented on their legal challenges. However, both families have voiced their opinions.

A representative for Joseph’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, informed Us in March that they are “heartbroken” over their son’s arrest.
“Right now, they are focused on loving their family and supporting Kendra and her children during this difficult time,” a family representative shared. “They are praying for the victim and appreciate the privacy, kind words, and prayers offered by many.”
In a separate Instagram statement, the Caldwell family wrote, “Our love for this child [victim] remains at the forefront of our family’s priorities and minds. We are proud of her for being strong enough to share her story while also retaining her own identity and joy.”
