Keshet International is gearing up to introduce its versatile comedy drama “Reset” at the upcoming London Screenings event.
Written, directed, and starring Adir Miller, “Reset” is a dark comedy that follows the story of a man who is mistakenly informed that he has a terminal illness. The eight-episode series features Emmy-winner Miller in the lead role of Gidi, a 50-year-old man who is led to believe that his time is limited. In response, Gidi decides to make drastic changes in his life, including quitting his job, ending his marriage, and severing relationships. However, when the diagnosis is revealed to be a mistake, Gidi must confront the aftermath of his impulsive decisions.
The show’s format has been crafted for easy adaptation in various local markets, with each episode running for 60 minutes. Its premiere in Israel garnered high ratings, marking it as the country’s most-watched drama debut in five years.
“Reset” is produced by Artza Productions for Keshet 12, with Keshet International handling global distribution. Adir Miller shared that the inspiration for the series stemmed from his own experiences, particularly as he approached his 50s and contemplated the concept of a midlife crisis. He delves into the idea of starting over and facing the consequences of one’s actions, blending poignant reflections with humor.
Kelly Wright, Managing Director of Distribution at Keshet International, expressed excitement about the show’s potential for international audiences. She praised Miller’s ability to infuse genuine emotional truths with comedic elements, making “Reset” a captivating prospect for buyers worldwide.
“Reset” will be showcased at the London Screenings event during Keshet International’s scripted showcase on February 24. Fans of dark comedy and thought-provoking narratives can look forward to experiencing the unique blend of humor and introspection that “Reset” promises to deliver.
