Hulu has just unveiled a sneak peek at the highly anticipated revival of the iconic animated series, “King of the Hill.” Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the show, which has been off the air for 15 years. The 14th season of the beloved series is set to premiere on Hulu on August 4th, with all 10 episodes dropping at once.
In addition to the first-look photo that has been released, Hulu has also shared the updated opening credits for the upcoming season. The show’s official description teases an exciting new chapter for the characters:
“After years of working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to save up for retirement, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas, enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.”
The original voice cast, including Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss, will be reprising their roles in the revival. The late Johnny Hardwick’s voice will also be featured in the new season.
“King of the Hill” is being brought back to life by 20th Television Animation, with original co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels serving as executive producers. Saladin Patterson will also be on board as the showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein from 3 Arts, and Dustin Davis from Bandera Entertainment.
