Kirsten Vaughn garnered attention in 2020 after being dismissed from her mechanic role due to her OnlyFans account. Now, five years later, she’s moving forward without regrets.
Vaughn, also recognized online as MsRed or VermilionVixen, humorously remarked about her journey, saying, “It’s like turning lemons into margaritas,” during a special interview with Us Weekly.
In the wake of her termination, Vaughn began assisting at another auto repair shop owned by her husband’s father. After working there pro bono for a while, she invested in the venture and took charge of the finances in 2022. “I own my own shop pretty much,” Vaughn stated proudly.
Additionally, Vaughn has kept creating content on her OnlyFans, which she started in 2020, allowing her to amass a multi-millionaire status through her diverse activities.
When posed with a question about what she would convey to her previous employer, Vaughn replied humorously, “Thank you so much for firing me.”
Back in 2020, Vaughn’s colleagues in Fort Wayne, Indiana, uncovered her OnlyFans account and allegedly watched her videos during work hours, leading management to identify her as a distraction.
“I got into an argument with my general manager, who shared all this info. According to him, a wife of one of my fellow mechanics had approached them claiming I was making content on the premises,” Vaughn recounted. “I would come in at 6 a.m. and leave late. Initially, I took photos in the bathroom before clocking in, showing ‘what’s underneath my uniform.’”
Vaughn contended that there were “no identifiable factors” in the pictures, which her general manager “wasn’t even upset about.” Nevertheless, she was terminated soon after.
“I was immediately furious because I thought, ‘This is so hypocritical,’” she reminisced. “I can’t recall if it was that meeting or the next, but the HR representative said, ‘Don’t you think this makes you more vulnerable to sexual harassment?’ I was like, ‘Excuse me?’”
During her time at the shop, Vaughn earned $1,000 weekly and was making double that on OnlyFans. Acknowledging the platform’s profitability, she informed her general manager that she had “no plans to stop” creating content online.
After sharing her experience on social media, Vaughn faced “mixed” responses from her followers. While some offered “tremendous support,” she also received “death threats.”
“I really did not anticipate such a high level of negativity,” Vaughn expressed. “I didn’t expect people to be so concerned. I’m merely selling some nudes; it’s not that serious.”
While balancing her work in mechanics with her OnlyFans platform, Vaughn shared that she “absolutely [did] not” expect to manage both at the same time.
“I never intended for any of this to unfold,” she remarked. “It’s just one of those circumstances where fate opened up doors and I had the opportunity to take advantage of it. So I’m just riding this wave and doing my best to keep pace with everything as it comes.”
