New Collaboration Alert: Lisa from Blackpink Designs Resort Collection for Kith
New York Fashion Week may have just ended, but Kith is already gearing up for resort season with a special twist. Creative director Ronnie Fieg has teamed up with Lisa from Blackpink to guest-design the latest collection. In a recent email, Lisa expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Working with Kith on this collection was such an incredible experience. Fashion has always been a form of self-expression for me, and I was thrilled to bring that to life through these pieces.”
The collection was inspired by a moodboard of dualities, featuring a mix of all-white co-ords and debossed black leather to represent the concept of a white swan/black swan dichotomy. Fieg explained, “We were drawn to the idea of creating a gradient that embodies the two sides of Lisa, starting with the romantic white lace looks and transitioning into edgier black leather pieces.”
During the day, the collection showcases a girl-next-door aesthetic with white logo-integrated lace ensembles, including a sheer tunic and oversized short-sleeve shirt. As the day turns into night, the collection transforms into a more global and versatile lineup, featuring black cut-out and convertible garments like a negative space-effect bodysuit and a multi-functional leather jacket that can be styled in six different ways. Athletic waistbands and comfortable fabrics add a dancerly touch to the overall vibe of the collection. Lisa added, “I hope that those who wear my designs will feel confident and empowered to express themselves freely.”
