The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are facing off against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 28th match of the IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In their last outing, KKR lost to Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, Kolkata set a target of 180, with Cameron Green contributing 79 runs off 55 balls. However, other batsmen struggled to make significant scores. On the bowling front, KKR performed decently, which is a positive takeaway for the team.
Rajasthan Royals, in their previous match against SRH in Hyderabad, suffered a 57-run defeat. Bowling first, RR conceded 216 runs, with Ishan Kishan scoring 91 off 44 balls. During their chase, RR lost five wickets for just nine runs, and the lower-order resistance was inadequate to change the outcome.
