LaMelo Ball’s custom Hummer is currently undergoing repairs after a recent collision in downtown Charlotte. The owner of Dreamworks Motorsports, Adam Wolfe, has assured TMZ Sports that the truck is fixable, but it will require some time to be restored to its former glory.
The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, which underwent custom work by Dreamworks Motorsports, suffered significant front-end damage in the crash, including the loss of one of its 24×12 DW Forged one-off designed wheels. Despite the damage, Wolfe has confirmed that the Hummer is repairable and their collision center has already begun the restoration process. However, given the fully custom design of the vehicle, the timeline for completion is currently unclear.
The unique features of LaMelo Ball’s Hummer include a desert camo 3M wrap, luxurious orange leather interior, JL Audio 10TW3 subwoofers, Hornblasters train horn, custom logos, PPG custom mixed paint, and LED lights both inside and under the body. Wolfe emphasized that due to these custom features, the repair process may take some time.
One positive outcome from the collision is that the airbags did not deploy, which is considered a significant safety feature. Despite the incident, LaMelo Ball emerged unscathed and even played for his Hornets team on Thursday night, marking their return to action after the All-Star Game.
Overall, while LaMelo Ball’s Hummer may need some fixing after the crash, it is in good hands with Dreamworks Motorsports and is expected to be restored to its original condition in due time. Fans can rest assured that the custom vehicle will be as good as new once the repairs are complete.
