Paramount+ Renews “Landman” for Season 3
Exciting news for fans of the hit oil industry drama “Landman” as Paramount+ has officially renewed the show for a third season, as reported by Variety. This renewal comes as the second season of the show is currently airing, with the fourth episode set to premiere on Dec. 7.
“Landman” follows the intricacies of the oil industry in west Texas, with a focus on Tommy Norris (played by Billy Bob Thornton), an oil company fixer and president who must navigate the challenges of the business while also juggling his family responsibilities. The stellar cast includes Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Sam Elliott, and more.
The official synopsis for Season 2 teases, “As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets – and Tommy Norris’s breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble – it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break.”
Not only has the show been a hit with viewers, but the season premiere of “Landman” saw a significant increase in viewership, with 9.2 million viewers tuning in within the first two days of its release, marking a 262% increase from the series premiere.
Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, “Landman” boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers including David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, and Billy Bob Thornton. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.
