French crypto hardware wallet provider Ledger is currently considering a potential listing on the New York stock exchange as a result of the increasing number of cyberattacks that have propelled their 2025 revenues into the hundreds of millions. Pascal Gauthier, CEO of Ledger, disclosed this information, highlighting the urgent need for individuals and institutions to safeguard their digital assets from highly sophisticated hackers.

Established in Paris in 2014, Ledger is experiencing its most successful year yet as the demand for secure cryptocurrency storage solutions continues to rise. Gauthier emphasized the escalating frequency of cyberattacks targeting bank accounts and cryptocurrencies, with no signs of improvement in the foreseeable future.

The surge in cybercrime comes on the heels of a record-breaking year for cryptocurrency theft, with a staggering $2.2 billion stolen in the first half of 2025, surpassing the total amount stolen in the entirety of 2024. According to reports from Chainalysis, approximately 23% of these attacks were directed at individual wallets.

Ledger, which currently safeguards approximately $100 billion worth of Bitcoin (BTC), stands to benefit from the increased demand during the holiday season. The company is exploring options to raise additional funds, including a private funding round or a potential listing on a U.S. stock exchange. Gauthier emphasized the importance of New York as a hub for cryptocurrency investments, stating that “money is in New York today for crypto.”

In related news, Ledger’s Chief Technology Officer has issued a warning about shocking attacks by crypto hackers using NPM, a popular software package manager. These attacks underscore the importance of robust security measures in the crypto industry.

Overall, Ledger’s potential listing on the New York stock exchange reflects the company’s commitment to providing secure cryptocurrency storage solutions amidst the growing threat of cyberattacks. As the cryptocurrency market continues to expand, Ledger remains at the forefront of protecting digital assets for individuals and institutions worldwide.
