Lee Je-hoon to Return in “Taxi Driver 3” Premiering in Q4 2025
Lee Je-hoon is gearing up to reprise his role as the vigilante taxi driver Kim Do-gi in the highly anticipated “Taxi Driver 3.” Viu and SBS have officially announced that the third season of the global hit series will make its debut in Q4 2025. The big reveal took place at the ongoing APOS conference in Indonesia.
The streaming platform has confirmed that “Taxi Driver 3” will premiere as a Viu original worldwide, except for South Korea and mainland China. Following the massive success of Season 2, fans can expect to see Je-hoon back in action alongside the beloved characters played by Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram as they embark on their most dangerous missions yet as part of the Rainbow Taxi team.
To inject an international flair into the Korean production, Hong Kong boy band Mirror member Edan Lui will be making his Korean drama debut in “Taxi Driver 3” as a character who forms an unpredictable alliance with Kim Do-gi.
The series will be helmed by writer Oh Sang-ho and director Kang Bo-seung, who are set to continue exploring the complexities of Je-hoon’s tormented vigilante character.
Park Jeong-hoon, CEO of Studio S, the in-house production arm of SBS Media Group, expressed his excitement about the upcoming season, stating, “Our production team is dedicated to delivering a high-quality drama that lives up to the legacy of Seasons 1 and 2, aiming to surpass the expectations of viewers.”
In addition to “Taxi Driver 3,” Viu has unveiled its diverse content slate for Q3 2025, which includes titles like “My Youth” starring Song Joong-ki and “My Girlfriend Is a Man!” featuring Astro’s Yoon San-ha and Oh My Girl’s Arin.
The platform’s lineup also features Chinese productions such as “Immortal Ascension” and “Love’s Ambition,” as well as Indonesian content like “Rintik Terakhir” and “Secret High School.” Malaysian productions like “Seadanya Kita” and “Putri & Phrince” round out the offerings.
