Lela Rose Resort 2026 Collection: A Tribute to Wildflowers
Renowned designer Lela Rose drew inspiration from fields of wildflowers for her latest resort 2026 collection. The collection features thistle-like motifs adorning midi dresses and shirts with floral-shaped ends on ties. These abstract floral designs cascade down skirts and are 3D printed on bodices, reminiscent of the botanical imagery captured by photographer Imogen Cunningham.
While flowers have always been a source of inspiration for Rose, her fascination with wildflowers is a relatively new development. After relocating from the bustling city of New York to the serene surroundings of Jackson, Wyoming, Rose found herself immersed in the beauty of Indian Paintbrushes and thistles in the Tetons, which is evident in her recent work.
Traditionally known for her formal wear collections catering to events like weddings and galas, Rose is now incorporating more casual pieces into her line. Navy wide-leg trousers and poplin skirts coexist with elegant tulle gowns, reflecting a shift towards more relaxed yet still exquisite attire.
Looking ahead, Rose plans to embrace lighter fabrics and airy materials, such as the versatile poplin skirt. Day dresses, pants, and even coats are making appearances in her upcoming collections. One standout piece is a gray wool coat embellished with delicate gold paillettes, likened to a fishing lure by Rose.
While dresses remain a focal point for the brand, the introduction of more laid-back styles reflects Rose’s evolving personal style. “It’s just the way I find I’m dressing more and more and more,” she explains.
