Former One Direction Member Liam Payne Found Dead at 31
Tragedy struck the music world as former One Direction member Liam Payne has passed away at the young age of 31. Reports indicate that Payne was found dead after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Witnesses at the scene mentioned that the tragic incident occurred around 5pm local time, shortly after Payne was seen “acting erratic” in the hotel lobby. He was reportedly seen smashing his laptop before being carried back to his room. Photos obtained by TMZ showed the singer’s body on a wooden deck at the hotel, surrounded by tables and chairs.
Authorities and first responders are currently at the hotel, with a red tent placed over Payne’s body. La Nacion reported that police were called to the hotel due to reports of “an aggressive man under the influence of drugs and alcohol.”
Payne had been in Argentina recently for a Niall Horan concert, where he reunited with his former One Direction bandmates. The group, which also included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, rose to fame after their appearance on The X Factor in 2010.
One Direction released numerous chart-topping hits before announcing a hiatus in 2015. Payne went on to launch a successful solo career, releasing his debut album in 2019.
