Liberal CNN Analyst Van Jones Shocked by Message from Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Before Assassination
Liberal CNN analyst Van Jones revealed on Saturday that he was deeply surprised by a message he received from conservative activist Charlie Kirk just one day before Kirk was tragically assassinated at a college tour event in Utah.
In the message shared by Jones on his Instagram, Kirk wrote, “Hey Van, I mean it, I’d love to have you on my show to have a respectful conversation about crime and race.”
Jones, who admitted to having a contentious relationship with Kirk in the last week of Kirk’s life, was touched by the message, in which Kirk also added, “I would be a gentleman as I know you would be as well. We can disagree about the issues agreeably.”
Reflecting on the message, Jones emphasized that he and Kirk were not friends and that the message truly shocked him. Initially unsure about sharing the message following Kirk’s death, Jones now believes it is important to make it public.
