Linda Yaccarino Takes on New Role as CEO at eMed Population Health
After her departure from X as CEO, Linda Yaccarino is stepping into a new chief executive role at eMed Population Health, an AI startup focused on developing a tech platform for patients utilizing GLP-1s.
Yaccarino, a former advertising executive at NBCUniversal, joined X as CEO for a two-year stint where she made significant strides in revamping the social network’s ad revenue model, despite shared views with Elon Musk on content moderation.
While Yaccarino may not have prior experience in health tech, eMed expressed in a press release that they were attracted to her “undeniable ability to negotiate new partnerships.” Her tenure at X also garnered her recognition in the tech industry, bringing added attention to the startup.
eMed has previously developed a tech platform for at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen tests, providing guidance to users on proper test administration. The company’s current focus is on GLP-1s, such as Ozempic, which are utilized for weight management and type 2 diabetes treatment.
“In order to lead in today’s healthcare landscape, companies must possess a fearless determination to not only grow, but also to boldly redefine an entire industry,” Yaccarino stated in a press release. “We are well-positioned to be that determined leader, working towards our ultimate goal of enhancing global healthcare outcomes through our innovative services and platforms.”
