““Lioness” is returning for a much-anticipated Season 3 on Paramount+.

The announcement comes nearly one year following the debut of Season 2, which premiered in October 2024. Despite earlier speculations suggesting a renewal, Paramount’s recent confirmation has thrilled fans of the series.

Featuring a stellar cast that includes Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, and others, “Lioness” has captured the attention of audiences nationwide. The show’s official Season 2 logline reads:

“The CIA’s battle against terrorism has turned personal. With the stakes higher than ever, Joe (played by Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Kelly) bring in a new Lioness operative to confront a previously unknown threat, forcing Joe to reevaluate the personal sacrifices she’s made while leading the Lioness program.”

“Lioness” is one of several compelling series created by Taylor Sheridan that are currently airing on Paramount+. Sheridan continues to build an impressive portfolio with additional projects, including the upcoming second season of “Landman” set for release in November, Season 4 of “Mayor of Kingstown” premiering this October, and the recent launch of Season 3 of “Tulsa King” on September 21. Furthermore, Sheridan’s highly-anticipated “Yellowstone” spinoff, titled “The Madison,” is awaiting its release date, while he is also working on the prequel “1944.”

The series is executive produced by a talented team including Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, “Lioness” is distributed globally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
