Jacob Roloff and his wife, Isabel Roloff, are shedding light on the reality of life on his family’s farm, a prominent location on the TLC show Little People, Big World.
Contrary to speculation, Jacob and Isabel do not own the farm. They reside on the property, which is still owned by Matt Roloff, Jacob’s father. In a TikTok video, Isabel clarified that they rent their house on the farm and Jacob works there full time while she takes care of the animals. They play a vital role in stewarding the land, raising their son Mateo, and tending to the animals. Jacob also takes charge of growing produce, vegetables, and fruit, including a remarkable 60,000 lbs of pumpkins this year. The couple is committed to preserving the farm for as long as they are involved.
The farm has been a point of contention among the Roloff family members. Matt, the patriarch, has been in disputes with his children over the property’s future. He listed a portion of the property for sale at $4 million in May 2022, reducing the price to $2.9 million in April. The decision to sell caused tension with Amy Roloff, Matt’s ex-wife, who envisioned the farm staying in the family for generations.
Negotiations to sell the farm to Matt’s sons Jeremy and Zach reportedly fell through. Both sons, along with their families, have since left the Little People, Big World show and now live in homes off the Roloff land. Despite the house drama, Matt spent Thanksgiving 2025 with his family, expressing gratitude for his blessings.
Amy also celebrated Thanksgiving with her children and grandkids, as seen in photos shared by Jeremy’s wife, Audrey Roloff. Little People, Big World chronicled the Roloff family’s life on the farm, showcasing their challenges and triumphs. The show aired on TLC from 2006 until 2024.
The Roloff family continues to navigate the complexities of farm life, family dynamics, and relationships, demonstrating resilience and unity amidst challenges.
