Live from New York…it’s Teyana Taylor!
Last night, the star graced Saturday Night Live with her presence, and it was a performance to remember. As a first-time Oscar nominee, Taylor made a stop at the studio during her busy awards season campaign, following her standout role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. (Geese also took the stage as the musical guest for the episode.)
Taylor is known for her bold red carpet style, and she did not disappoint on the SNL stage. Embodying the essence of New York City, she brought a mix of attitude and cool edge to her fashion choices, staying true to her Harlem roots.
For her opening monologue, Taylor rocked a sequined white “I Love New York” tee with detachable red furry sleeves, paired with black leather trousers. The outfit perfectly captured the essence of the city and Taylor’s personal style. Born and raised in Harlem, she joked about the freezing weather in New York, adding a touch of humor to her monologue. “I’m a Harlem girl, and I love New York—but it’s freezing out here,” she laughed. “No wonder why us New Yorkers be so agitated—cuz, bitch, we cold!”
In a promo video with Geese, Taylor showcased an edgy all-leather look that exuded downtown chic. Wearing a cropped oxblood top, long opera gloves, and a pink skirt from the Balenciaga spring 2026 collection, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, Taylor flaunted her sculpted physique in the ab-bearing silhouette. It was a look that truly embodied the essence of Teyana Taylor.
