Liverpool have expressed interest in Barcelona midfielder Gavi, as reported by Catalan outlet Nacional. The 20-year-old has seen limited playing time under manager Hansi Flick, with younger players like Marc Casado and Pedri preferred in the midfield pivot. Gavi has only managed 241 minutes of action in 12 appearances this season, leading to speculation about his future at Camp Nou.

With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2026 and no talks of an extension in sight, Gavi has emerged as a potential transfer target for clubs like Liverpool. While the midfielder is determined to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place in the team, the Reds are keen on adding him to their squad. Manager Arne Slot reportedly values Gavi highly and is willing to offer him a lucrative salary to secure his services.

If Gavi decides to leave Barcelona, he would join a talented midfield at Liverpool that includes players like Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, and Curtis Jones. The Reds see him as a valuable addition to their squad and are eager to bring him to Anfield.

On the other hand, Barcelona has shown interest in Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The Catalan club is keen on adding the 27-year-old attacker to their ranks, but Diaz is expected to stay at Anfield. His current contract runs until 2027, and Liverpool is looking to extend his deal in the near future.

Diaz has been a key player for Arne Slot’s side, contributing nine goals and three assists in 22 games across all competitions. While Barcelona has been pursuing Nico Williams for the left side of their attack, Diaz could provide valuable experience and depth to their squad. With the contract situations of other key players like Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk to address, Liverpool is likely to prioritize securing Diaz’s future at the club.

Overall, both Liverpool and Barcelona are eyeing potential transfer moves in the upcoming transfer windows, with Gavi and Diaz at the center of their respective plans. It will be interesting to see how these potential deals unfold as the clubs look to strengthen their squads for the future.
