Vivek Ramaswamy is launching a provocative billboard campaign in Times Square, New York, this Monday, urging residents to escape from the clutches of Socialist Democrat Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani before it’s too late.
Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur and the former co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency, is vying for the Governor’s seat in Ohio, backed by none other than President Trump.
His departure from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) followed shortly after Trump took office on January 20, 2025, with rumors swirling that he was eager to focus on his gubernatorial aspirations. This decision came after Ramaswamy ignited controversy on X with comments about American cultural values and his support for H-1B visas for foreign tech workers, which didn’t sit well with many of Trump’s supporters.
In his remarks, he lamented, “The reality is we have a culture in this country that often celebrates mediocrity over excellence… We celebrate the prom queen and the quarterback and the class clown far more than we celebrate the kid who’s in the library or the garage obsessing over math, or science, or computer code.” He argued that this cultural disposition has led to a “national shortage of talent” in critical fields like engineering and technology, thus justifying the need for H-1B visas to attract skilled foreign labor.
Ramaswamy made his political debut during the last presidential election cycle.
The pro-Ramaswamy super PAC, “Vivek Super PAC — Victors, not Victims,” is funding the new $50,000 billboard blitz in New York City. This PAC has reportedly raised a whopping $17 million for Vivek’s gubernatorial campaign.
Regardless of one’s stance on Vivek, one must admit that this is a strategic move.

Another tagline on the billboard reads, “Worried about Zohran? Ohio is waiting for you!”
According to the New York Post:
Andy Surabian, chief strategist for VPAC, informed The Post that New Yorkers concerned about their future should consider relocating to a state “that is about to elect a conservative trailblazer committed to liberty and prosperity for all.”
“While Mamdani will further crush New York City with his job-killing socialist tyranny, Vivek is ready to unleash freedom, supercharge the American dream, and make Ohio a state of excellence,” Surabian argued.
“We erected this billboard because we couldn’t think of two politicians in the country who represent such drastically divergent paths for the future of our nation. The Mamdani path of socialist totalitarianism versus the Vivek path of American freedom,” he added.
“For those New Yorkers who have had enough, freedom and prosperity await you in Ohio.”
The billboard is reportedly set to be displayed throughout the week.
