Spencer Pratt, a candidate for mayor of Los Angeles, was seen attending Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Lakers on Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena.
During the fourth quarter, Pratt was observed sitting in the second-row seats formerly owned by Jeanie Buss, positioned just behind the court.
In contrast to other celebrities, Pratt is not typically found at Lakers games. However, the former star of “The Hills” is now aiming for political office, having been motivated by the loss of his home in the 2025 Palisades fire. Read more
Pratt sported a black custom hat designed with the phrase “Los Angeles Pratt” in the same style as the Lakers logo. He was seated next to Linda Rambis, a close associate of Buss.
Nearby, Buss and her husband, comedian Jay Mohr, were situated in baseline courtside seats usually occupied by new Lakers owner Mark Walter.
Behind them, James Franco and Izabel Pakzad were seated. This section is typically reserved for Buss and her acquaintances. Following the Lakers’ 131-108 loss, the group departed from the arena together.
Buss and Franco are not the only notable figures seen with Pratt. The 42-year-old has gained endorsements from personalities like Joe Rogan, Adam Carolla, Nick Viall, and Rock Scott.
Pratt’s presence in Buss’ seats, and his departure with her and her husband, aligns with recent findings by The California Post that Buss contributed the maximum $1,800 to Pratt’s mayoral campaign, as first highlighted by X user @UnrigLA through public contribution records.

Pratt’s campaign has recently gained momentum through viral ads and notable public appearances, including the LA Mayoral debate. Being seen at a major event like a Lakers playoff game offers a strategic advantage for gaining public attention.
Because being seen at a Lakers playoff game, where power and fame intersect, is the perfect place for a political candidate to get attention.
