Love Is Blind season 9 participant Kacie McIntosh has shared her feelings about witnessing her romantic journey with Patrick Suzuki unfold on screen.
This article includes spoilers for Love Is Blind season 9.
“Love Is Blind season 9 is shaping up nicely,” Kacie, 32, expressed on TikTok on September 30, just hours prior to the release of the first episodes on Netflix. “Join me tomorrow as I look for love!!”
She added, “Let’s find out if love is really blind.”
Kacie’s TikTok post sparked comments from fans expressing disappointment over her storyline with Patrick.
“C’mon, be nice!” one user commented. “Remember, it’s just a reality TV show. It’s not reality!”
Kacie liked this comment and later responded with a laughing emoji when another user expressed excitement to see the episodes.
The hair and makeup artist formed a bond with Patrick, 30, while he was also exploring a connection with Anna Yuan. After Anna, 28, left the show unexpectedly, Patrick shifted his focus to Kacie and proposed without having met her in person.
“I feel like I’ve been waiting for you forever,” Kacie told Patrick in the pods. “I know I say this a lot, but I’m so thankful you see me for who I am and have moved past some challenges we might have to face. I truly love you, and no one has ever made me feel this sure about myself.”

Kacie said yes to Patrick’s proposal, joyfully leaping into his embrace when they finally met face to face. However, their dynamics shifted a few hours later.
“Look at where we are now. What do you want me to say?” Kacie tearfully confided in producers. “He deserves someone better than me. He’s good-looking, but he deserves someone who is totally devoted to him.”
Kacie then expressed a desire to terminate her engagement, explaining to Patrick that she felt uneasy about going on their couple trip to Mexico.
“I love you so much and was so overjoyed. But I just can’t continue this. I need to go home,” she gently told Patrick, stopping short of revealing her intent to cancel their engagement. “I don’t want to go to Baja. I’m sorry. I’m not saying I’m not in love with you, [but] I just can’t keep up with the show any longer.”
Patrick seemed to grasp Kacie’s feelings, hopeful that their relationship could resume when they returned to Denver, Colorado. Before parting for the evening, they exchanged multiple kisses.
“I still feel optimistic about her,” Patrick reflected during a confessional that night. “I think taking it slow is the right move. She says she still loves me. I believe her feelings are genuine. Our attraction is evident, and it’s not merely physical [as she mentioned].”
Meanwhile, Kacie’s confessional suggested that her feelings of attraction could be a major factor in pausing their relationship.
“Unfortunately, I’m afraid my attraction to him won’t develop further, and it’s disappointing,” Kacie admitted. “I genuinely believe it won’t, and it seems unfair to go to Mexico with him only to have to convey that I can’t get to where I need to be with him, period.”
The initial six episodes of Love Is Blind season 9 are currently available for streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released weekly.
