Arrest Made in CEO Murder Case
A man, Luigi Mangione, has been arrested in connection to the murder of CEO, Thompson, outside the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel. The incident occurred on December 4, 2024, as Thompson arrived early for his company’s shareholders’ conference.
Mangione allegedly waited for Thompson and shot him three times, resulting in Thompson’s immediate death. Following the shooting, Mangione went on the run for five days before being recognized at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Penn., on December 9, 2024.
Upon being questioned by Altoona PD officers, Mangione provided a fake New Jersey driver’s license under the name “Mark Rosario.” This false identification ultimately led to his arrest for providing fake information to law enforcement.
During a search of Mangione’s backpack, authorities found a loaded handgun and other evidence linking him to Thompson’s murder.
