Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of CEO Brian Thompson, allegedly detailed his murder plan in a handwritten notebook, complete with a “to-do list” of tasks necessary to carry out the crime, as reported.
Investigators are currently examining a page of notes allegedly written by the 26-year-old in a spiral notebook before he allegedly shot UnitedHealthcare’s CEO Brian Thompson last week, a sourcetold CNN.
In one of the notes, Mangione apparently pondered the idea of “killing the CEO at his own bean counting conference.”
He also noted that a shooting would be more targeted, emphasizing that a bomb “could harm innocent individuals,” the source added.
Mangione stands accused of fatally shooting Thompson as the 50-year-old CEO made his way to a Manhattan hotel where UnitedHealthcare’s parent company, UnitedHealth Group, was hosting its annual investor conference.
