By the President of the United States of America

A Proclamation

From our nation’s inception, America’s destiny has been shaped by the skilled hands and unwavering spirit of its people. Whether it was the early settlers at Jamestown or the industrial giants who propelled the nation into an era of manufacturing might, the core of America’s greatness lies in its ability to build, innovate, and prioritize the needs of its workers and families. This Made in America Week, my Administration reaffirms its commitment to this vital legacy, promising to empower our workforce, invigorate our industries, and restore the pride encapsulated in the words: “Made in the U.S.A.”

Despite being a historical powerhouse of manufacturing and creativity, the United States has faced challenges in recent decades as a global elite prioritized profits over people. Factories shuttered, jobs disappeared, and communities were left to grapple with lost fortunes and dreams. While America was hollowed out, other nations, particularly China, were built up at our expense, leaving citizens to bear the brunt of these decisions.

Each day, my Administration is focused on reclaiming American sovereignty by updating and enhancing trade agreements, negotiating new ones grounded in fairness and mutual benefit, and rigorously enforcing compliance with trade rules. Our priority is clear: America first.

In March, I proudly signed an Executive Order to establish the United States Investment Accelerator, which creates a dedicated office within the Department of Commerce to facilitate investments exceeding $1 billion in our country. Additionally, I issued a Presidential Memorandum aimed at fostering foreign investment while safeguarding our national security. With the recent passage of the historic One Big Beautiful Bill, we have introduced significant incentives, such as interest deductions for loans on new American-made vehicles and full expensing for investments in new factories and equipment. These policies are designed to support workers and families, leveling the playing field for American businesses and boosting domestic production.

I have also instructed the Federal Trade Commission to take a firm stand against businesses that make false claims about their products being “Made in the U.S.A.” American consumers deserve to support their fellow citizens, not inadvertently fund overseas factories that churn out subpar goods. The “Made in the U.S.A.” label is not merely a marketing phrase; it signifies a deep connection to our nation’s craftsmanship, ingenuity, and the livelihoods of its people.

Thanks to my Administration’s leadership and commitment to an America First agenda, we are witnessing a growing interest in doing business with the United States. We have already attracted trillions of dollars in both foreign and domestic investment, and this is merely the beginning. These transformative investments are significantly enhancing our domestic manufacturing capabilities, revitalizing struggling sectors, and sparking a new wave of American innovation. As a result of our pragmatic policies, job creation has exceeded expectations for four consecutive months, with American workers accounting for all job gains since I took office.

Together, we are reconstructing our nation with the determination and skill of the American people. We are reigniting a culture of boldness and creativity that will empower the next generation of innovators, harness the full potential of the American spirit, and ensure that our economy, culture, and way of life remain a model for the world to admire. Above all, under my leadership, we are proudly rebuilding, innovating, and creating in the United States of America once more.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim this week, July 20 through July 26, 2025, as Made in America Week. I urge all Americans to honor the builders, ranchers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and all those who labor daily with their hands to make America exceptional.
