Madonna didn’t hold back her feelings as she expressed her strong distaste for President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming return to the White House on her Instagram stories.
The iconic pop star took to her social media on Thursday to share a photo of a cake with “Fuck Trump” boldly written on top.
In another post, Madonna shared a selfie along with a caption questioning why a convicted felon and bigot like Trump was elected to lead the country, despite his controversial past.
Madonna has been vocal about her disapproval of Trump for years.
Following Trump’s victory eight years ago, Madonna expressed feeling betrayed by women who supported him. She also compared the heartbreak she felt after Hillary Clinton’s loss to Trump to a painful breakup.
Amidst Trump’s first term, Madonna made the decision to move to Portugal, citing the need for a change and a desire to distance herself from what she called “America’s not-so-finest hour.” She mentioned Trump’s presidency and her son’s soccer career as contributing factors to her relocation.
