James Tate Grant Seeks Legal Funding to Sue CBS and Other Media Outlets for Libel and Defamation

Despite being exonerated of assaulting Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards by U.S. District Federal Judge Jia Cobb, Grant’s reputation continues to be tarnished by false reporting from mainstream media outlets like CBS.
The Injustice of Misleading Reporting
Grant points out the inaccuracies in CBS’s reporting, such as falsely claiming he was found guilty of assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon, a charge he was acquitted of at trial.
He further criticizes CBS for using a deceptive picture that misrepresents the events of January 6th, where he was actually trying to assist a fellow protester and was subjected to police brutality.
Grant emphasizes that the media’s false portrayal of him as a “white supremacist,” “insurrectionist,” and “terrorist” has irreparably damaged his reputation and career as an aspiring attorney.
