Paul Thomas Anderson’s films “One Battle After Another,” “Sinners,” “Weapons,” “Frankenstein,” and “Wicked: For Good” have been recognized with nominations at the 13th annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards.

Each of these films received three nominations, showcasing the exceptional work of the makeup and hair teams behind them.

In “One Battle After Another,” the team was nominated in both contemporary makeup and special makeup prosthetics categories. Arjen Tuiten, known for his work on Sean Penn’s Colonel Lockjaw character, used prosthetic pieces, contact lenses, and dentures to create a striking transformation after a car crash.

For “Frankenstein,” prosthetics artist Mike Hill utilized 42 prosthetic pieces to bring Jacob Elordi’s character in Guillermo del Toro’s Creature to life.

“Wicked: For Good” presented a unique challenge for makeup artist Francis Hannon, who had to keep Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba character green while also transforming Jonathan Bailey into the Scarecrow and Ethan Slater into the Tin Man. Slater’s transformation involved the application of 11 prosthetic pieces, including cheekbone and jawline alterations, taking four hours to complete.

In “Weapons,” the team focused on creating prosthetics to reflect the inner darkness of Amy Madigan’s Aunt Gladys character, aiming to evoke a ferocious and predatory look.

Other notable film nominations include “Bugonia,” “Marty Supreme,” “Superman,” and “Battle of a Small Player,” showcasing a diverse range of makeup and hair styling achievements.

The television category saw a tie in the best contemporary makeup in a television series, limited series, or TV movie, resulting in six nominations.

Noteworthy mentions in the TV category include the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” which received four nominations, as well as Lady Gaga’s hairstylist Sarah Tanno, who was recognized for her work on the “Abracadabra” music video.

The 13th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards, presented by L’Oréal Groupe and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty, will honor the winners at a Valentine’s Day gala on Feb. 14, 2026, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

The full list of nominations for feature-length motion pictures, television series, live theatrical productions, and more showcases the exceptional talent and creativity of makeup and hair artists across various mediums. These nominations highlight the importance of their contributions to bringing characters and stories to life on screen.
