The beloved early 2000s sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle” is making a comeback with a new revival titled “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair.” The exciting news was announced with the release of the first trailer, giving fans a glimpse into what the grown-up Malcolm and his family have been up to.
In the new four-part event, we see Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz, reuniting with his daughter after hiding from his family for over a decade. The trailer showcases Malcolm’s reluctance to get back into the chaos of his family dynamics, but he is inevitably pulled back in when his parents, Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), insist on his presence at their 40th wedding anniversary party.
The original cast of the show is returning for the revival, including Muniz, Kaczmarek, Cranston, Chris Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Emy Coligado. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark is taking over the role of Dewey, with new cast members Keeley Karsten, Vaughan Murrae, and Kiana Madeira joining the ensemble.
The series is helmed by creator Linwood Boomer, who serves as writer and executive producer. Other executive producers include Cranston, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann. Directed by Ken Kwapis, the revival is a production of Disney Branded Television and 20th Television.
Fans can catch the premiere of “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair” on April 10, and watch the trailer for a sneak peek into the anticipated revival. Stay tuned for more updates and nostalgic moments with the dysfunctional yet lovable Malcolm and his family.
