A 26-Year-Old Man Found Guilty of First-Degree Murder in Lakewood Shooting Case

On Tuesday, a 26-year-old man, Patrick Plasencio, was convicted of first-degree murder in the tragic shooting death of 22-year-old Amanda Bobian in Lakewood, as per court records.

The incident occurred outside a residence on the 1200 block of South Marshall Street in May 2023, following an argument between Plasencio and Bobian, reported by Denver7.

According to investigators, Plasencio fled the scene after shooting Bobian, as detailed in a report by Denver7.

Aside from the first-degree murder charge, Plasencio was also convicted of attempted murder and two misdemeanor weapons offenses.

In Colorado, first-degree murder convictions mandate a sentence of life imprisonment. Plasencio is scheduled to be sentenced on December 20.

His brother, Frankie Plasencio, aged 29, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and being an accessory to the crime in June. He received a two-year prison sentence with credit for over a year already served, according to court documents.
