The popular Netflix comedy series, “A Man on the Inside,” has officially been renewed for a third season, as confirmed by Variety. The news of the renewal comes just two months after the second season of the show premiered on the streaming platform.
The show stars the talented Ted Danson in the lead role of Charles Nieuwendyk. The ensemble cast for Season 2 includes Mary Steenburgen, Max Greenfield, Gary Cole, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, Michaela Conlin, Lisa Gilroy, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Madison Hu, Sam Huntington, Jason Mantzoukas, Constance Marie, Linda Park, David Strathairn, and Jill Talley.
The first season of “A Man on the Inside” made its debut in November 2024 and received praise from both viewers and critics alike. The show remained in the Netflix Top 10 English TV chart for five consecutive weeks, while Ted Danson earned Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for his performance. The positive reception led to a quick renewal for a second season, and the two seasons combined have garnered a total of 45 million views on the platform.
Based on the documentary “The Mole Agent,” the series was created by Mike Schur, who also serves as an executive producer through Fremulon. Other executive producers include Morgan Sackett, David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment, Maite Alberdi and Marcela Santibañez of Micromundo Producciones, and Julie Goldman and Christopher Clements of Motto Pictures. Universal Television is the studio behind the production.
