Man Shot in Logan Square Neighborhood

A man was shot overnight in the Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago police reported. The 35-year-old victim was in the 1900 block of North California when an argument with a man in a red sedan turned violent around 3:15 a.m.

According to police, the altercation escalated until the man in the car pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the right leg.

The victim is currently in good condition, while the offender remains at large.

This incident marks the 22nd shooting in Logan Square this year, as per city records. The figure is higher than the same period last year but lower than the comparable period in 2018. Here are the year-to-date shooting victim totals for the neighborhood as of November 9 annually:
