A violent incident occurred in Times Square early Tuesday morning, where a 27-year-old man was stabbed inside a McDonald’s. This disturbing event marks the third stabbing near the popular tourist destination in just one week, according to sources and law enforcement.

The victim was attacked by an unknown individual who stabbed him in the stomach around 5:55 a.m. at the fast-food restaurant located on Broadway near West 45th Street. Following the altercation, the victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and is currently in stable condition, as confirmed by the police.

Reports suggest that the victim was involved in a dispute with two men, one of whom turned out to be the assailant. After the attack, both perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the victim injured and in need of medical attention.

This incident comes shortly after another stabbing on Sunday evening in front of a Starbucks on Broadway near West 39 Street, where a man was stabbed in the leg during a fight around 7:45 p.m. Additionally, last Wednesday, a 30-year-old man was assaulted by three individuals, resulting in him being slashed in the face and stabbed in the back on Broadway near West 39th Street.

Recent NYPD data indicates that there have been 23 reported felony assaults in the Midtown South precinct, which includes Times Square, since the beginning of the year. This figure is consistent with the number of assaults reported during the same period last year.

The series of violent incidents in such a short timeframe has raised concerns about safety and security in the Times Square area. Law enforcement officials are actively investigating these cases to ensure that those responsible for these acts of violence are brought to justice and to prevent further harm to residents and visitors in the area.
