Simu Liu, best known for his role in Marvel’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” experienced a break-in at his Los Angeles-area home last week. According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred on Friday night when an intruder smashed a glass door around 11 PM. Fortunately, security at Liu’s home was able to alert the police, who conducted a search of the premises but found no suspects inside.
The silver lining in this unfortunate event is that Liu was not home at the time of the break-in, and his house is currently undergoing renovations. Sources indicate that there was nothing of significant value inside the home at the time of the incident.
Simu Liu has been making waves in Hollywood in recent years, with notable roles in “Kim’s Convenience” and the highly successful Marvel film. He is set to star in the upcoming movie “Last Breath,” scheduled for release in February. Despite this setback, Liu’s career continues to thrive as he takes on new projects and solidifies his presence in the entertainment industry.
Unfortunately, Liu is not the only celebrity to have been targeted by burglars in Los Angeles this year. Other notable figures such as Tyler Perry, Tom Hanks, Marlon Wayans, and Sophia Bush have also fallen victim to break-ins in 2024.
When reached for comment, Liu’s team declined to provide a statement on the incident. It is yet another reminder of the challenges faced by public figures in maintaining their security and privacy in the spotlight.
