Four Injured in Shooting Near Wrigley Field

Four individuals were wounded in a shooting incident in Lakeview, just two blocks south of Wrigley Field, during the night. The incident occurred on Clark Street, a popular area with bars and restaurants, where at least one gunman opened fire.

Chicago police responded to reports of gunfire around 1:45 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Clark Street. Three victims were found at the scene, and a fourth victim later arrived at Thorek Hospital for treatment.

Surveillance footage showed the suspected gunman, described as a man in a red hoodie and light-colored jeans, fleeing in a white Chevy pickup truck heading north on Clark Street.

The victims included a 29-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, and a 29-year-old woman, all suffering from gunshot wounds to the arm and leg. They were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition. A fourth victim, a 25-year-old man sitting in a parked car on Clark Street, was shot in the shoulder and went to Thorek Hospital on his own.

So far this year, six people have been shot in Lakeview, marking a decrease compared to previous years. In another incident in Wrigleyville on May 15, two groups engaged in a confrontation outside the ballpark, resulting in gunfire between two individuals. Surveillance images of four suspects were released by CPD, but no arrests have been made.
