An incident involving a McDonald’s customer throwing a cup of hot coffee on a worker during a dispute over her order has shocked the community. The perpetrator is currently evading authorities.
The unsettling incident took place at a McDonald’s establishment in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, and was captured on video by a bystander.
The footage reveals the irate customer initiating the altercation by expressing dissatisfaction with the worker about her canceled food order.
Despite the employee’s attempts to resolve the issue by offering a refund for the order made via the mobile app, which was automatically canceled due to non-collection, tensions escalated.
The situation intensified when the customer demanded to exchange her coffee for food, leading to a confrontation.
In a fit of rage, the customer hurled profanities at the worker before flinging the scalding coffee at them, causing distress. As she fled the scene, she callously remarked, “Catch that hot ass coffee.”
The Buena Vista Police Department has issued a plea for assistance from the public in apprehending the suspect responsible for the reprehensible act.
