Introducing Pleio: The New Plug-In and Stream Freely Puck
As streaming services continue to dominate the way we consume content, traditional Freeview is making way for its streaming counterpart, Freely. Previously, the only way to access Freely was through a TV with the operating system built-in. However, a new partnership between Everyone TV and entertainment/technology company Netgem has changed the game with the launch of Pleio, the first-ever ‘plug-in and stream’ Freely puck that connects to your TV via an HDMI slot, eliminating the need for a dish or aerial.
Pleio is a compact, circular streaming puck that offers both live and on-demand content via Freely. It supports 4K resolution and HDR, comes with a voice remote and gamepad, and runs on Android TV 14 with support for Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound.

One of the standout features of Pleio is that it offers access to a range of channels without the need for any subscriptions. However, viewers will require a TV license to watch live content from channels like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. Live TV can be paused and restarted for added convenience.
In addition to live TV, Pleio also provides access to premium streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video, making it a competitive alternative to popular streaming sticks like Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
Users can navigate between channels and content using the mini-guide, save favorite shows and movies in the My List section, and explore upcoming programs with the seven-day TV guide.
The Pleio puck is priced at £99 and is available for purchase on Amazon, Freely, and Pleio. Customers of WightFibre, Connect Fibre, and BRSK broadband providers can receive the puck bundled in for free. Additionally, purchasers of the Pleio puck will receive a three-month add-on subscription at no extra cost. After the trial period, the subscription will cost £9.99 per month and includes over 250 cloud games, 150 additional channels, and curated content categories such as Series, Movies, Sports, and Kids.

Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of Netgem UK, highlights the versatility of Pleio, stating, “The integration of Freely with Netgem’s entertainment service positions this streaming puck as the optimal choice for all households and breathes a second life into all TV sets at an affordable price.”
