Megyn Kelly has previously hosted individual shows on Fox News Channel and later at NBC. Soon, she will take the lead on multiple programs at SiriusXM.
The well-known talk show host, who has established a robust media presence through her own Devil May Care Media production company, is set to launch her own SiriusXM channel starting November 4. The âMegyn Kelly Channelâ will air on Siriusâ channel 111, which was previously home to âTriumph,â a channel featuring shows with Kelly alongside Glenn Beck, Nancy Grace, and Dr. Laura Schlessinger, among others. Some of these programs will transition to Siriusâ channel 123.
This new channel will continue to showcase Kellyâs âThe Megyn Kelly Show,â which is released first on SiriusXM before becoming available as a podcast. The channel will also introduce new lineup features, including an exclusive daily after-show program. More series, shows, and specials are anticipated to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
âLinear television news is dead. Audiences are weary of those stiff, censored discussions, which is why this medium is flourishing. Iâm excited to offer our bold, no-nonsense news live on SiriusXM and to strengthen my partnership with such a prestigious and reputable brand,â stated Kelly in a prepared statement. âSoon our listeners will have a reliable source in the Megyn Kelly Channel for the engaging discussions and content they crave.â
Kelly is among an array of opinion leaders who have found new success in audio and direct-to-consumer platforms in recent years following the passing of Rush Limbaugh and the growth of conservative media outside of Fox News Channel. Many of these personalities are former Fox News contributors who have ventured out to cultivate their own audiences. Bill O’Reilly offers a subscription-based video service, Glenn Beck co-founded Blaze Media, and Tucker Carlson has garnered attention for his programming distributed via social and digital platforms. While their audiences may be smaller and more varied than those flocking to mainstream news outlets, their significance in an era of cord-cutting cannot be overlooked.
This shift appears beneficial for Kelly. âI could never return to a traditional workplace. I tend not to thrive under supervision,â Kelly shared with Variety in 2023, hinting at the challenges she faced with top executives at both Fox News Channel and NBC News during her career. âI am far more productive being my own boss and running the show as I see fit.â
Throughout her time as an audio host, Kelly has interviewed notable figures such as President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth just prior to his confirmation hearings. She has also had discussions with Carlson, Piers Morgan, Bill Maher, Bari Weiss, Charlamagne tha God, and Shawn Ryan, among others.
Recently, Kelly has expanded her podcast network with new offerings featuring various personalities. Among the productions from her MK Media podcast network are âThe Nerve with Maureen Callahan,â âNext Up with Mark Halperin,â âSpot On with Link Lauren,â and âAfter Party with Emily Jashinsky.â She has also launched an âMK True Crimeâ initiative, which delivers legal insights and live trial coverage from an array of expert contributors.
