Meta’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses to Launch in India on May 19

Meta announced on Tuesday that its highly anticipated Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will officially be available for purchase in India starting on May 19. The starting price for these innovative smart glasses will be ₹29,990, which is approximately $353.

For those eager to get their hands on a pair, pre-orders are currently being accepted on Ray-Ban’s official website. Additionally, the smart glasses will also be stocked in Ray-Ban stores across India at the time of launch.

One of the standout features of the smart glasses is its support for Meta AI technology. This advanced AI system allows users to ask questions about their surroundings, translate audio and video in real-time, send messages via their smartphone, make calls, and much more.

At launch, the smart glasses will offer live translation capabilities for English, French, Italian, and Spanish, even when offline. However, it is worth noting that support for Indian languages has not been added yet.

In addition to its impressive AI features, Meta has also confirmed that the smart glasses will be able to connect and play music through popular apps like Spotify, Amazon Music, Shazam, and Apple Music in India.

Since the initial launch of the smart glasses in 2023, Meta has already sold around 2 million pairs worldwide. This showcases the growing popularity and demand for wearable technology that seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
