Michael Jackson’s Family Upset Over Plans to Resurrect Him in Arena Show
As preparations continue for a ghoulish arena show that aims to resurrect the late Michael Jackson, tensions between the studio and the Jackson family are reaching a boiling point. An insider revealed, “Producers wanted to celebrate his legacy. Instead, they’ve managed to upset the very people who protect it.”
In addition to the arena show, a Jackson biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua has stirred controversy. The film is set to chronicle Jackson’s journey from a Motown prodigy to a global icon, with his 27-year-old nephew Jaafar Jackson taking on the lead role. Colman Domingo and Miles Teller are also part of the cast. Production began last year, but the release has been pushed from April 2025 to April 2026 for additional post-production and promotional activities.
However, members of the Jackson family are not on board with these projects. Paris Jackson, Michael’s 27-year-old daughter, has publicly distanced herself from the biopic. She expressed her frustration, stating, “The narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.”
It is evident that the Jackson family is deeply troubled by the portrayal of Michael Jackson in these projects, highlighting the delicate balance between honoring his legacy and respecting his family’s wishes.
