Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt have shared a special bond ever since they first met in 2005 while training under Bob Bowman. Their friendship has stood the test of time, and even after retirement, they continue to support each other. Recently, Allison Schmitt showed her love for Phelps’ children by shopping for them while on vacation in Japan. She shared a picture of a Pokemon soft toy on her Instagram stories, expressing her excitement at picking out gifts for the little ones.

Phelps’ wife, Nicole, was touched by Schmitt’s gesture and reshared the story, praising her for being the best auntie. The bond between Schmitt and the Phelps family runs deep, with Schmitt even living with the couple in 2016 as she prepared for the Rio Olympics. The friendship between Schmitt and the Phelps family has only grown stronger over the years.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Allison Schmitt opened up about her relationship with Michael Phelps’ children. She revealed that the four Phelps kids affectionately call her ‘TT’ and that it has been a joy to watch them grow up. Schmitt expressed her surprise at how quickly the children have grown, especially the oldest, Boomer, who is now eight years old. She fondly recalled Nicole’s pregnancy during their training for Rio and marveled at the strength and resilience she displayed during that time.

Both Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt had illustrious swimming careers, with Phelps winning a record-breaking 28 Olympic medals, most of them gold, and Schmitt capturing four Olympic golds and four World Championships titles. Despite their retirement from competitive swimming, the two champions remain close friends, with Schmitt frequently visiting the Phelps family in Arizona.
