Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Krysten Ritter have been seen on the set of “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 3 in what seems to be a preparation for a “Defenders” cast reunion in the forthcoming season of “Daredevil.”
Each of these actors had their own Marvel Cinematic Universe streaming series in the mid to late 2010s. Ritter’s series, “Jessica Jones,” debuted in 2015, followed by Colter’s “Luke Cage” in 2016, and Jones’ “Iron Fist” in 2017. “Jessica Jones” lasted the longest with three seasons, whereas “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” each had two. Initially released on Netflix, all three series are now available on Disney+.
In 2017, Marvel united Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist for the mini-series “The Defenders.” This series premiered on Netflix and has since moved to Disney+. The storyline involved the heroes joining forces to battle the enigmatic mercenary cult known as The Hand.

The original “Daredevil” series premiered in 2015 and concluded in 2018 after three seasons on Netflix. Disney later brought back the character for “Daredevil: Born Again,” with the first season premiering on Disney+ in March 2025. The second season is currently available, with new episodes released every Tuesday.
Despite “Daredevil: Born Again” preparing for a significant TV collaboration, showrunner Dario Scardapane mentioned to SFX Magazine that he does not foresee crossovers with Marvel’s movie heroes.
Scardapane explained, “The joke we make is, ‘Oh, those guys are uptown – we’re downtown!’ Our focus is set in the distinct world of Hell’s Kitchen in New York. I imagine these characters might occasionally venture into the wider world, but the story we’re telling is very detailed and local.”
