ITV Studios Expands Offerings with ‘Solitary’ and Introduces ‘Una Fiesta de Muerte’ in Spain ITV Studios has secured the production rights for “Solitary,” a reality game show known for its bold concept, developed by Lincoln Hiatt and Andrew Golder, which topped the ratings on Fox Reality Channel.
In “Solitary,” contestants are placed in isolation pods devoid of any concept of time, human interaction, or partnerships. Directed by Val, a persistent digital presence, they endure a series of intense physical and psychological challenges, with the final contestant standing vying for a prize — the primary rule being: don’t be the first to quit.
The format has previously gained traction in Germany (on ProSieben) and Brazil (via SBT).
“‘Solitary’ remains a daring format that continues to feel refreshingly innovative today,” remarked Mike Beale, Managing Director of Creative Network at ITV Studios. “Thanks to its gripping competition, it’s poised to flourish on both linear and streaming platforms.”
Simultaneously, the murder mystery show “A Party To Die For” is set to debut in Spain under the local name “Una Fiesta de Muerte.” Produced by ITV Studios Iberia for Atresmedia, this marks its third local version following successful launches in France and the Netherlands. The Spanish rendition is expected to premiere next year.
In “A Party To Die For,” developed by ITV Studios Netherlands and Talpa Studios, celebrities gather for a luxurious party, only to discover that one of their peers has already been “murdered” before the celebration begins. The remaining guests must exercise their detective instincts to crack the case, with viewers able to participate from home using a dedicated app.
