A Denver hair stylist named Jax Gratton has been missing for almost two weeks after leaving her University Hills apartment.
On April 15, Gratton was last seen around 10 p.m. in the 4200 block of East Iliff Avenue, according to the Denver Police Department.
Concerns arose when Gratton failed to show up for appointments with clients at Solera Salon Suites, where she rents a studio. Her friends and family became worried after realizing she had left behind her medication, makeup, and her cat, Madame Franchesca.
Gratton’s mother, Cherilynne Gratton-Camis, expressed her distress over not hearing from her daughter, especially since she never misses a holiday or birthday phone call. She described Gratton as a survivor, particularly in the face of challenges as a transgender individual.
News of Gratton’s disappearance quickly spread through Denver’s LGBTQ community, prompting over 300 people to join a Facebook group dedicated to finding her.
The support and concern for Gratton have been described as “hauntingly beautiful” by those close to her.
Gratton is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000, referencing case #25-5001497.
