Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has recently launched its largest-ever global recruitment campaign, targeting professional staff across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. As a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, MFTBC is gearing up for its merger with Hino Motors and is looking to strengthen its workforce in preparation for this significant move.

With Daimler Truck AG owning 89.29% of MFTBC’s shares, the merger with Hino Motors is set to be finalized by March 2026. In light of this merger, MFTBC has announced over 300 new permanent positions in Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Portugal. These roles span various departments such as research and development, supply chain management, quality control, procurement, international sales, IT, finance, legal and compliance, and human resources.

The company’s recruitment drive aims to bolster the Fuso brand and enhance its global presence post-merger. With the challenges posed by CASE technology trends and a shortage of skilled drivers in the commercial vehicle industry, MFTBC is looking to expand its workforce to address these issues effectively.

MFTBC prides itself on its diverse global workforce, comprising employees from more than 65 different nationalities operating in around 170 markets worldwide. Additionally, the company has been at the forefront of workplace flexibility, introducing remote working as early as 2014. Currently, employees in Japan have the option of “flex time” arrangements and remote working, showcasing MFTBC’s commitment to creating a conducive work environment for its staff.

As MFTBC embarks on this major hiring campaign, it underscores the company’s commitment to growth and innovation in the commercial vehicle sector. The merger with Hino Motors is poised to bring about further opportunities for expansion and development, with more job prospects expected to emerge globally. Stay tuned for more updates on MFTBC’s recruitment drive and its journey towards a successful merger with Hino Motors.
