The Emotional Plea from the Mother of Missing Long Island Democratic Candidate
The mother of a Long Island Democratic candidate who disappeared near a local beach made a heartfelt plea for help on Monday, urging supporters not to give up as the search entered its 12th day.
Maria Lo Krommidas took to social media to express her gratitude to those who have been involved in the search efforts since April 23, the day her son Petros Krommidas went missing while heading to train for a triathlon in the ocean off Long Beach.
âItâs been 12 days without any sign of him,â she said. âI canât thank you all enough for your love, prayers, and support. However, I urge you, PLEASE DONâT GIVE UP ON HIM. DONâT STOP SEARCHING.â
She also shared tide charts for Monday and Tuesday to assist volunteers in the search. âPlease help me bring my boy home,â she pleaded.
Petros Krommidas was a candidate for the Nassau County legislature at the time of his disappearance. Despite finding Krommidasâ car and towel nearby, there have been no significant developments in the case. Nassau County authorities have utilized drones in the search, with 100 volunteers scouring Atlantic Beach over the weekend.
